This line is good. This one is perfect IMO. The woods with iris makes for a delightful treat during intimacy. It's so screechingly synthetic from the first spray and that ambroxan hangs on in there ruining and overpowering all the iris and cacao notes from the EDP. The EDT has a nice pear note that I enjoy but I was disappointed with how incredibly poor the performance was.
But i'll recommend iris lovers to give this a shot, it's a different twist on iris based fragances. It's still a bit bright and fresh while being thoroughly dark and seductive. What a well dressed gent looks for in a gourmand. First day wearing this, and I like it. I directly compared it in the store to Gentleman EDP for about 40 minutes and every time I smelled the strips, I much preferred the Boise over the regular EDP.
I love the whole Gentleman line so I might be biased, but this is another masterpiece in my mind. If performance is important to you this performs better than any of the others from the gentleman line on my skin. Feels like the mix between Dior Homme 2011 and D&G The one edp. Edp and cologne are still better than this, in my opinion. Its not overpowering and you wont be the loudest in the room. 
This is a brighter, more floral Iris than the EDP, which is darker and has more of a gourmand vanilla facet to it. Sillage and longevity is very poor for an EDP. Definitely pepper and spices up top. The kicker for me is that the performance of this is worse than Gentleman EDP, and I don't think the difference in scent compensates for the poorer performance. This is the OG 2017 Gentleman with added iris and maybe a very light touch of cocoa powder. When you own 150 fragrances, it's really hard to be impressed anymore, but this is VERY nice and I don't understand the mediocre 4.04 rating. Mike Lowrey from Bad Boys for Life wears this. SO, even if you normally don't like iris, this still may be worth testing. The whole gentleman line is the only line with iris that I really love, but the EDT is just too sweet, though a really good scent. This is manly, sophisticated suited and booted. That example is beautifully blended masculine gourmand. Bought a bottle a couple days ago to wear it for my wedding next month, even though I have a decent collection I wanted to get somenthing I have never worn before for such a special day and from the other options I had this just smelled like the perfect one, and also it had a great price. Good, not necessarily a game-changer. I've been using this fragrance for over six months and it is admittedly not my favorite one, probably not even in my top 10, but I reach for it quite often. Boise does have a slightly more mainstream designer vibe to it, which is not a bad thing as it might get better feedback from those around you. Its warm and spicy. You might also be able to pull it off on a spring evening. Definately will give it a try, I like both the original and intense version, hopefully casual chic will last and project , instead of being some close skin woody scent.
Every time I wear this one I feel its impact is lost unlike the hugely distinctive fragrances that join it in the Gentleman range. Creaminess is definitely there from the sandalwood on the dry down. 7.75 out of 10. I really love it. Think I love it. Worth trying if youre looking for a crowd pleasing fall/winter scent. I mean,do you have to put half the bottle these days for somebody to poorly smell it on you??? But I wouldn't use this during those really hot days. Unique in my opinion.

Smells expensive, formal and elegant.
A friend of mine told me I smell like a typical Morrocan rich dad, and I'm not mad about it. This is stunning. This stuff has such a mind blowing opening, which is the main reason I grabbed it, Its dark and mysterious but at the same time fresh, very woody but also slightly sweet, somewhat flowery but also spicy, with just the right amount of that characteristic iris, its truly a unique, refined and elegant smell, the only downside is that this lasts at most 25min, then I feel like it changes pretty quickly into somenthing darker and kinda generic that is really good and still classy but not even close to the magical opening that got me to buy it when I tested it in the store. Would you say that this is a sufficient candidate? Similar to the rest of the givenchy gentlemen line, boisee is a EDP flanker that smells very spicy and strong. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. Got this on sale at a department store here in South Africa for R999 ($62) for 50ml which is relatively cheap for this fragrance here. More suited for formal wear and going to work. Guitar 2016 below is right- very generic and short lasting. Everything blends so well and I just love to keep smelling it. 8/10. Unfortunately throwing in a ton of ambroxan into the formula does not make for pleasant experience with this one. It's also not as sweet as it lacks that prominent vanilla note, instead with the cacao which is slightly more bitter, like dark chocolate. After the opening it smells like a woody D&G The One to me without the amber and tobacco, plus a little cacao. Its woodier and smells less like a powdery makeup bag. Take Prada L'Homme, and mix it with a bit of Ferragamo Uomo Signature, and oual! Boise is a worthy flanker to Gentleman 2017 (which is one of my favorite designer launches in the past 5 years). Boise takes the pear, iris, and lavender accord of the original and adds a very sophisticated woody character. The sandalwood reminds me a lot of Feminite du Bois -- dry and dusty but also sweet, with warm gourmand-spiciness. Gentleman Boise smells very polished and expensive, but I do agree with the other commenters who said that this suffers from disappointing longevity. It's still something that I will enjoy wearing though, especially around the holidays. Smells amazing, lasts through the work day, awesome reactions from the ladies, not much more to say, another Josh Andsome Handsome approved scent. lol. Im not into iris if its too prominant. This smells like you have your life together and are going places. From the top, I get a lot of coriander and pepper smells, the top does dry down a little to expose more sweetness. It also lasts nicely, especially on clothes. A lot of people are giving this negative reviews and I couldn't disagree more. Gentleman Eau de Parfum Boise is a woody, spicy and powdery fragrance. This is not a full review but more of a short comment praising the quality of Givenchy perfumes. Both are fantastic fragrances but there's just something about the Boisee that I find intoxicating and addictive. The more I got acquainted with it, the more I find in it other popular fragrances. Not obnoxiously sweet and the iris helps keep this clean.
I've heard Boise described as Givenchy Gentleman EDP mixed with D&G The One EDP, and I do get that. Not pleaseing at all. woody..spicyVery nice! Amazing fragrance, my favorite in the Gentleman line. This is lazy modern perfumery at its worst.
Great opening, but the performance is horrendously bad, unfortunately. Just got my bottle and oh boy, this smells 90% like zara pour homme lll. Nobody I asked could smell it from half a meter and I gave it everytime around 6 to 8 sprays,even 10. It doesnt project and doesnt last. This perfume is not special and it's boring. It's pleasant, sweet, irisy, office safe, dumb reach. And I don't care that there is no leather note listed hereit's def here and it's the main note. I have the Gentleman Cologne and love it so I knew I had to get my nose on this. Anyways, i bought this because i have gentleman edp and gentleman cologne and i love them both.
If you did.. One spray would be good. With a touch of powder. This scent is so familiar, especially as the top begins to fade. A great addition to my collection. I feared even the 2018 EDP release (new black bottle) wouldn't quite "hold a candle" to the OG EDT released in the mid-1970's. Not bad, but also not game-changing mind-blowing addicting. I love this scent. Just trying to save someone from maybe blind buying a full bottle. I'm gonna give it further wearings before I really say much more than that though, but this is an all seasons, signature scent type of fragrance that you can wear just about anywhere and for any occasions from dating to work to intimate situations. The cacao to me isn't too prominent to me but is definitely there. This one might be the one that I'd like the most, judging by the note breakdown. The base of the olfactory pyramid reveals sandalwood from Australia, burning woods, and patchouli from Indonesia. I owned the EDT first and then snagged this later on discount.
I had hoped to replace Dior Homme Intense with this fragrance (Gentleman Boisee). Can be worn for any occasion. Great for colder weather. The first time I tried this I wasn't really impressed. This is a classy, elegant, chocolate sweet, warm, woody scent. Lasts about 10 hours on my skin and projects within about 6 feet for the first hour and a half and then in the dry down fades to about within arms reach.
I wear this during the day in autumn and winter months. I'll have to comment that I smell no iris, cacao nor woods, its quite a spicy green fragrance for me. And don't get me wrong, i have the fragances listed below as well. The patchouli is not the hippie kind. Very well crafted and refined, a beautifully balanced fragrance. gentleman return For me 20-30years old this is good however its more for the older crowd with its spicy touches. Other ppl are saying it projects good so maybe they got a different batch mine is from august 2021 overall very nice scent. It reminds me of Korloff No Ordinary Man. I love this scent. Initially from the paper strip I thought 'yes this is good!' Smells a lot like D&G The One EDP, with better performance tho. OVRLDD - you are spot on, like a 50/50 mix of Prada L'Homme and Ferragamo Uomo (either original or Signature) - perfect description. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s? But I was surprised by the absence of citrus notes. Has a bigger opening but calms down in the dry down. Not as sweet as the original and not as bitter as Eau De Parfum. It used to project much better but after having the bottle for nearly a year and keeping it in my bag/drawer I feel like it doesnt pack as strong of a punch as it used to. The composition is rich and counts on nobler raw materials, such as black pepper from Madagascar and Vietnam, essences of coriander from Russia and Ukraine, and geranium from Egypt, at the start.
So yes, this doesnt rely on Iris quite as much, but it blends the woody notes with the Iris perfectly and there is still plenty of powdery Iris. Fragrantica Inc, United States. The opening smells so damn good! I don't even usually like Iris, but everything about this one is phenomenal. So glad I leaned on my vintage 80's GIVENCHY Gentleman to get me through when the revamped one came out just about three years ago. I asked what she'd score it 1 to 10 and she unhesitatingly said, "11". Absolutely better than I could have imagined. 
This deserves recognition and respect. It's a generic fragrance, It opens up with like pepper spicy then dry down is woody. I was surprised at the longevity and projection on the Boise. The EDP is rated 4.22 and I think this should be much closer to that, but I suspect the woodiness has put off some people who are looking for Iris with this line. There's a woman in my office who loves fragrances as well and when I sprayed this for her to smell she loved it. Magnificent fragrance at a super affordable price.
Some quick thoughts while testing on my arm. I don't love it, but you know it's the first day so it's very possible that I could change the like into a love, but this does deliver a pretty different sort of fragrance experience as it's not really completely similar to anything I've ever smelled. I own both and really like both, but this one seems weaker than the EDP. An elegant mix of clean scent with some cocoa trails. I tested this on paper in Ulta. The central part features iris concretes from China and Italy, cocoa, and cedar from Virginia. Excellent, refined and well balanced fragrance that I love, but stopped wearing it due to its seriously subpar performance. I created an account just to say how wonderful this fragrance smells. Woody, warm, cozy, hints of iris, cacao, and spices. and so I asked the SA to spray my arm. Unfortunately on me it sits just on the skin and does not last or project long or strongly enough to justify my further investments in the scent. A pleasant, if a bit boring, addition to the range. This is better than the original Gentleman (circa 2017) this has a more masculine and elegant vibe. Perfect for casual and office wear. Decent performance. Iris gives a slightly noticeable hint of powder. I personally don't have high hopes for this one. Hello everyone, just wanted to give my thoughts on this one. WOW. I tried several samples and tested in on my skin for several wearings before buying the bottle and I do not regret it. @cassiano I am leaving Dior behind for greener (and more stable, less expensive) pastures. Decent. Boring release, nothing special and average longevity with soft to average projection. Dark and mysterious but not overly sweet like many oriental style fragrances. Beautiful chocolate digestive biscuit with a soft iris touch. One of my favorite fragrances ever. Generic and repetitive DNA. Sheeeeesh this smells masculine, mature, mass appealing, and deserves more praise imo. The "burnt wood" or "fire wood" accord is balanced with intense cocoa note and smoothed by sandalwood and iris. Not bad, but nothing creative here. Probably spicebomb would be better for the younger boys. The iris I only smell briefly in the opening (my least favourite part to be honest) but it probably just blends in well after that. They've perfected the sort of DNA that originated with Dior Homme, which is amazing but way too heavy on the Iris and gives that lipstick-y and really pungent, nose tickling aroma. Now this is getting ridiculous.What next? Only complaint would be that for a fragrance named boisee it isnt as foresty as I would have liked, the sandalwood is for sure the dominant wood. This scent is absolutely glorious! Only issue is longevity. Those two added touches are a definite improvement on the original. My only beef with this is the drydown gives me Armani code vibes. I own Gentleman EDP and like the EDP Boisee quite a bit more. Smells rlly warm and woody for sure gonna pull some hoes but doesnt last very long for me max 2h on skin but 10h+ on clothes. I absolutely adore this fragrance. This stuff is great, I love it. absolute gentlemen I definitely will be copping this soon. I must say that I love the whole line because of creatively balanced perfumery. Best designer release of 2020 by far. Fantastic spicy-woodsy fragrance. I pulled my sample back out a couple of days ago and god damn, this just smells good. The cacao reminds me a bit of Guerlain Heritage, tho this one is more modern clean woodsy. Its fairly long lasting, great for office or casual outings. But it doesn't last. I already have Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intense, among other similar frags, so a question whether I need this, but I might. After about 30 mins this shifts becomes a skin scent and starts to remind me of Dolce & Gabbana the one EDP and Dior homme Eau a tiny bit!
Otherwise, this isn't bad. Dry down kinda reminds me of Issey Miyake Nuit but this one is nicer. Great for the cooler weather but would be cautious in high heat. Gentleman Eau de Parfum Boise . Woody, iris, and mildly spicy. I really like it but not as much as the EDP which is more interesting. Overall 9/10 is very good and is not getting the recognition it deserves. The scent profile is very nice, but I own a number of better alternatives from the same ballpark. parfum illicite dames fragram This is just right. Gentleman boisee is basically a very refined and extremely well mixed version of Issey Nuit d'Issey meet Joop (you get the sweetness of Joop with the woodsy accords of Nuit d'Issey). The smell is very strong as well, making it suitable only for cold weather application. For office sure why not but dont expect anyone to follow you around. I have the same issue with this that I had with the OG and with Carolina Herrera Prive and that's I can get sick of smelling that synthetic leather note.

A very masculine fall fragrance. It has good projection and longevity, and it won't overwhelm anyone around you. Too familiar. I rarely reached for it at the beginning, and now I don't even notice it on the shelf. I learn the smells of Gentleman line nowadays. Gentleman EDT was good, but this EDP Boise is even better. With all that being said, I'm not amused or drawn to it. Olivier Cresp created lots of flankers. I'd opt for those fragrances over this one any day.
They're both powdery, sweet iris fragrances, but as the EDP dries down, it becomes sweeter and more resinous with the balsam, benzoin etc. Umema: The Perfume That'll Never Be Smelled, Carner Barcelona - the Summer Journey Collection, Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum, Amber and Ambergris are Two Different Notes, Rice Perfumes That Stand Out From the Crowd, Givenchy Gentleman Eau De Parfum Boi (. This is quite different yet very elegant and gentleman'ish, i can see myself picking this up for a date rather than the EDP or the Cologne. I can live with that. I enjoyed the original (I mean the current EDP, not the older one), so as a man who gravitates towards woody fragrances, I was very curious to try this. Its a shame because its a beautiful fragrance. There just isn't much to it - pleasant fresh woods in the forefront that disappear all too quickly into sandalwood.
Probably the best of the the gentleman line. Nevertheless, I love it and will continue to wear it regardless - it evokes the very essence of my childhood in Arabia!
You might be able to pull this off during summer. It is just a beautiful, clean woody scent that is perfect for cold weather. In this fragrance it blends really well with the cedar. This feels quite similar to Givenchy Gentleman EDP (surprise surprise) but with a few differences. When I sampled this I went crazy over it, I thought it was the perfect woodsy / Christmassy scent. Not that that's a bad thing as that is a proven DNA, but it's not super unique and I stopped wearing code a long time ago. Contrastingly, Boise goes in a soft, woodier direction. I did a "sink test" with this one the other day and I was still getting hits of it in the bathroom a day later even after using the sink. I have Prada L'homme, Dior Homme Eau and Ferragamo Uomo, but nope, this is not like that. Perfect for fall and winter. Fresh Woods in the opening, dries down to a synthetic sandalwood with a little bit of patch and iris. Performance is not beast-like but does the job. Imagine smelling fresh pencil shavings along with a lipstick and some pepper.Although the iris isnt super lipsticky like in dior homme intense.This could be a great scent to dip your toes into iris fragrances. There's also a freshness to it as well. This is good especially the the heart notes. Smelled this today and to me this seems like a manlier, less metrosexual version of the EDP which I own. The iris is definitely there from the begining, as for the cacao: i can smell it in the drydown after an hour. Another ABSOLUTE BANGER from Givenchy, if you're not at 3/4 chub from just spraying this on yourself, there's definitely something wrong with you. You can spin off these flankers endlessly: Gentleman nude, Gentleman ski, Gentleman apres ski, Gentleman country chic (add a little cow dung note into the mix), Gentleman Dandy (floral feminine), .you get the picture? I am a woman, and just bought it for myself.
Gentleman Boise was also co-created by Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp and its fragrance is classified as woody-floral-spicy. Just bought this one from a store cause it smelt nice on the tester strip. Performance is great, scent is great and the price is reasonable so this would be a good purchase for most people - if you can find it. DON'T understand some of these new releases. I'll give my thoughts as soon as I get my nose on it. I'm definitely going to get some use out of this now that the weather is cooler but I don't think this is a must try or blind buy worthy. That being said it does seem to last long with a decent sillage based on the testing ive done, Im still going to use it for my wedding since it retains a great deal of the woodiness during its evolution that im looking for that goes great with the setting where the ceremony is taking place An open country big wooden building surrounded by trees at sunset , in a slightly warm but windy climate. My wife also loves this on me so you will definitely get some compliments with this scent! Givenchy Gentleman EDP is really quite good at what it does, and I have a bottle. Very very bad longevity,I tested this for 3 days and the sillage is almost 0. Smells like the backwash of a Monster energy drink. I generally prefer citrus aromatics or citrus woody but this one is very nice and comforting to wear. The iris smells much lighter to my nose than the other dark bottle flankers. This had so much potential to be incredible like the previous release but it falls flat very quickly. Definitely my favorite of the Gentleman line. The woods smell more heavy to me is this one. I have them both and these perfumes smell very much the same :D. This is a fantastic fragrance.
