marc jacobs perfect boots

This is gourmand for me and I would keep it for winter. Generally speaking, I hate narcissus, so I was dubious of this one.

I like the opening, but from then on its stages of development are very disjointed. In my opinion, a flanker wasn't really needed at this time. I'm quite surprised by this! The scent opens up with a strong floral and hint of almond.

A warm sesame honey almond.

It'll be nice if that's your style but pass for me. I do funny enough get the slight banana reference, its playful. But after about 15-20 minutes, this fades away and the creamy almond takes over in the most beautiful way.

This smells gorgeous to my nose on paper but on my skin, it turnsI don't know how to describe it, maybe funky is the right word?

Smoky/toasted nuttiness on a floral background, with some slight sweetness. love it!

I got a popcorn kind of smell on my skin mixed with the OG. I think I prefer the original 'Perfect' over this.

Lol is it bad that I kind of love it? This one has that covered for sure, it will be with you for the day. I get a delicious cocktail of banana and toasted almonds. I tried it with my best friend and we have totally different chemistry, perfumes work totally different on us. It's not bad, I imagine this on a older woman.

Estimate the monthly payment amount of a purchase using our easy Payment Calculator. If it did, that would make this perfume to strong and unwearable. Synthetic jasmine, with a synthetic nutty note (bordering the sweet burning yeast smell from your toast with old sesame seeds caught in the toaster tray), insufficiently balanced by the sandalwood in order to achieve the feel of coherent creation. **. This smells like the fall season Glade plug-in scent. Bought a purse spray of this today. Which isn't a bad thing, just not quite what I expected based on the notes.

It seems pretty linear and I get mostly a toasted almond with narcissus peeking through. I thought that the popcorn smell coming from the popcorn stand at the mall was permeating the Macy's store, but this perfume actually smells like a mixture of popcorn and something else.

This was a bit of an impulsive blind-buy for me, and not one I regret, but I do prefer the original. Maybe as I get used to this one I could potentially spray more, but for now, nope I'm good.

Simply enter the purchase amount, select the desired period, then calculate. starts off pleasantly fruity and sweet, but definitely nothing new.

Autumn type of fragrance that just begs for a soft cashmere sweater, tall boots, an afternoon trip to the pumpkin patch with hot, buttered popcorn in one hand, a steamy drink in the other and your sweetheart by your side. I also have the original Perfect which I just love. Got a sample of this and was pretty excited because I love the OG.

I smelled this on my sister when we went to Sephora to check out new perfumes, and I almost cried. I do get a bit of the original but with a bit more sophistication behind it, if you get what I mean?

made me nauseous when i smelled it for the first time.

Surprisingly warm and gourmand. Thats really all I get, but I love it.

This one opens with a strong almond note blended nicely with the narcissus. It was not bad, but just very generic and boring smelling-- a huge let down. Its a little creamy and I get almond, but theres something kind of herbal or medicinal that reminds me of hay or grass. Come to find out he got the intense instead of the original! It smells like sweet, warm, almond milk, and I think that it's a cute, youthful scent.

It could definitely be a signature fragrance through all seasons. Failure to make minimum payments for three billing cycles will cancel promotional rate. Definitely good for all occasions and would probably be inoffensive to most people. I'm really surprised gardenia is not a note! The original is fresher and better.

I really liked the opening on my skin but after a while something in the almond note didnt agree with me; it felt stale or off somehow and made me a little queasy and I had to wash it off. Its fresh and sweet at the same time, This one smells like a warm banana, no joke! The opening gives me sweet milky almond, fruity green floral, drying down I get more hay and wood. I still prefer the normal Perfect perfume by Marc Jacobs because of the sweetness but I am happy that this lasts longer. An uplifting ode to individuality, perfect intense explores a new facet of self-love, encouraging everyone to celebrate and revel in the powerful beauty of being real, being bold, and being #perfectasiam.

I keep the cherry/kitty side out.

And trust me!! I was immediately let down. Yes to floral almond but without knowing the notes, came off as a rich deep coconut. No tuberose, its sweeter and I love the almond note. Not exaggerating. Cant wait to add the full bottle to my collection.

I can't say I prefer the intense to the original, at least packaging-wise.

Like his tattoo, Perfect Marc Jacobs is about embracing and expressing one's true self. Maybe I'll get this when I use up the OG. It was too sharp, green and sour for my taste and reminded me too much of hairspray. This is a big miss. After around an hour we have something akin to a more sandalwood-forward OG Perfect and light fruits.

I dont really pick up the banana scents, there is a strong almond scent and I even pick up hints of honey. MJ fragrances are certainly highly priced but most I smell I love and this is no exception! (The rhubarb note should of been kept I think its what made perfect..perfect.).

I can see this being easily too overpowering. Nothing deep, sultry or gourmand about this. An easy four out of five stars from me, regardless, and that's saying something. I typically love strong gourmand scents, and while this is defiantly up my ally ( I also love warm florals like this), I felt briefly smothered by this fragrance. It smells like Sunflowers by EA with nutritional yeast. The intense version is okay, but I'm not in love with it.

I'll probably use up my sample, but I doubt my feelings will change much. I think I actually like the original better, as the lightness pairs better with the scent, but the banana opening lasts much longer with this Intense version. in the drydown there's this ever so slight sourness/stale note (maybe that's the almond) that I dont like. It smells yummy but in like a high-end hair product kind of way! The flush of first love is waning just a bit, as it's a little heavy for all-day wearbut I still keep reaching for it.

However this truly smells like a banana shampoo. In reading all the reviews, I agree that I if I think about it, I can smell the banana, sesame seed thing going on, but I have to think about that while sniffing it. I just can't stop smelling it!! Smells like a candied melon doused with a heavy helping of almond cream on top. I really love the opening scent, but then it is just a little too sweet for my taste after it settles.

Banana shampoo. Smells very young - like what a teenager would wear.

A little sweet, smells good but super generic. In terms of longevity, I put it on at around 5 on, its currently 8:23 and it has softened up quite a bit. That initial intensity does not last the entire time, and Im glad for that.

Ive never been a fan of Marc jacobs scents but this one was different. Shame it doesn't hang about. I dont love it. I'm intrigued by the average reviews for this one. Interest will be charged on promotional purchases from the purchase date at a reduced 9.99% APR and fixed monthly payments are required until promotion is paid in full and will be calculated as follows: on 36-month promotions, 0.0323; on 48-month promotions, 0.0254; and on 60-month promotions, 0.0212, of initial promotional purchase. You know? Again tested on a strip not on me. The floral keeps it fresh, although the woodiness never really comes through. I have a seriously weird body chemistry. I got a sample of this from Sephora, and it's alright!

I think it is delicious and unique. This, on me, is a unique, "oooh, what is she wearing?" I thought I was crazy because I was smelling popcorn in it, but now I see that others do as well. Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. This one is slightly more grown up. But from the first oddly-sweet sniff (the jasmine, maybe? The florals in the opening are really nice. **Update: The banana scent turned into a delicious sweet, warm scent. It of course has a predominantly sweet vibe, but I also feel like its a little salty too. I don't get the banana note mentioned by some..I do get a slight hint of powdered sugar spongy banana sweets after about 30 mins.

plus the bottle is cute, Disappointing.

I bet if you already have a favorite Marc Jacobs perfume, you'll like this. Just cant forgive it for those first couple of hours of hell though. I was able to get a sample vial at Dillards!

Like the original, Perfect Intense is a comforting floral scent but with an unexpected and indulgent twist. Smells like a 90s perfume, particularly Celebrate from Coty. On the tester strip the first 10 minutes I got banana! The background notes are interesting- nutty and sweet, but it stays screechy to me. Smells really lotiony like the body shop lotions. a little different from your typical department store perfume while still staying in it's people pleasing fragrance lane.

To me, it smelled like my childhood, and like growing up but not losing my innocence. When the original Perfect came out, I wanted to smell "Perfect", but it was far from my idea of perfection.

I actually really enjoy this one!

Somehow smells just like an almond cookie; Im surprised theres no vanilla note, because thats mostly what i smell. totally worth it if you buy it on discount due to the high price it has.

It has ruined a LOT of otherwise perfect scents for me.). All I get is Dove body wash with a hint of almond. Happy to have it. It starts with an audacious bang then turns playful and soothing.

Science Says Maybe, From the Gardens of Versailles to the Gardens of Babylon; The Allure of Olfactory Exploration Beckons at Jardin de Parfums, Priceless Perfume Bottles: An Auction of Poetry in Glass, The Ghost Perfumer by Gabe Oppenheim: on Creed & The Industry, a Book Review. Someone told me it smelled like banana and I was like "WHAT! However, for those who do, this is a good, warm, comforting scent for the fall. Disappointing.

nothing groundbreaking, but not everything needs to be groundbreaking tbh. Tested this for a few days now and wow this is beautifully done for a MJ perfume. Perfect Intense was launched in 2021.

It's very sexy and unique. It's def very heavy on the jasmine It's a very bright, clean jasmine scent not cloying and heavy. I expected it to have slightly more depth from the sandalwood and almond notes. Unfortunately, this didnt live up to the original in my opinion and becomes way more floral than I wanted. Just wanted to get that out of the way at the get-go, so my experience may be light-years different than the norm. I think it's the sesame that is making people reminisce about buttered popcorn. Maybe thats better described as nuttiness, which would make sense of course.

It's a beautiful everyday signature scent though, nonetheless. It is also a complete departure from the original Perfect, a sharp and fruity floral. I could see this as more of a date night smell whereas the OG was a daily perfume. Im glad I got a sample because this is not bottle worthy for me. Intense is all about almonds. It is definitely a floral scent. I think this can be worn year round even with its floral headiness.

After a bit the jasmine comes in, but not as strong as the daffodil. Like funky almonds or something lol. Within minutes the sharp floral softens to a far-away hint of carnations on an early-morning walk. Other than the performance, the fragrance itself is amazing.

Almond is one of those notes that often don't impress me. Perfect for any age that's looking for something pleasant, simple, and has good performance. Nice though for what it is, made me feel cosy, would consider buying if I didnt have girl of now original and shine, but for an almond scent they definitely top this one, longevity AND scent wise.

Oddly enough, (must be my chemistry) I don't get almond from it either. A definite pass for me. The Perfect Intense design is a chic reinterpretation of the original perfect bottle. Happy, a little bit fruity (but there is no fruit note apparantly), uplifting, young. I can tell I'll wear this a lot, and frankly, the bottle rocks my world. That is why I bought it but after using it for a few weeks it started smelling dirty like I have been sweating because I was walking with my grazing animals in a pasture for hours on a hot day. I am not usually a huge fan of Marc Jacobs, as I find them to lack uniqueness. On paper this is fairly strong and has impressive longevity. But this is way denser and more synthetic-sweet smelling than the notes suggest for me. I honestly yearn to smell something that isnt laced with ambroxan or iso super e or evernyl or any of their earlier or latest friends.

I had seen reviewers saying it was over-pricedI do like it though.

Lovely almond fragrance, with heavy musky tones I believe come from the sandalwood. I really love Perfect Intense.

If you aren't big on sandalwood, steer away!

it radiates well. Decent longevity.

MILITARY STAR promotions subject to credit approval. Maybe it was just a psychological allergic reaction but that was my experience. But today I bought a travel spray of it and I put one tiny little dot of it on my four arm and I keep getting whiffs of it and its making me nauseous. ), this one did some kind of magic dance with my skin and I had to get a bottle. I'll use up my travel-size tester but I probably won't get the full bottle.

Its now my signature day fragrance. I get a hint of almond but to me its mostly milky jasmin tea. Bright daffodil is magnified by the elegance of night blooming jasmine. This perfume is weird, it smells like sweet sesame oil. This gets only a 5/10 , I accidentally bought this one (30 ml) instead of the original. It definitely has the perfect DNA, they do smell similar but this one is more floral, a little cozier, and much less juvenile to my nose. I like white floral, but I like it creamy and smooth. I am not getting the sandalwood tone at all. I got a sort of compliment with someone using the word perfume when they meant something else. I prefer this one to the original. "Introducing perfect intense, the new fragrance from Marc Jacobs. I love this one, it's much richer than the original.

but i went and smelled it again and it definitely smells like banana lol. Perfumes: 73,887

The first time I smelled it, I was transported on a magic carpet ride of sensory experience, like something out of Arabian Nights.

This is her grown up, high society older sister thats always been described as mature for her age, maybe even an old soul. Perfect is nothing you would expect and everything it needs to be. Yes, the intensity, silage, and longevity, beats the original but what I loved about that one was the delicate and versatile scent. Banana, hay, popcorn that's the vibe of this parfume. My first impression was popcorn indeed and after sampling in the store ,all day I was followed by it.It's a strong one and if you are open to something outside of the boxeswhy not hay, popcorn or bananas!? Unless it was much creamier and even more full bodied banana with a richer deeper dry down. Online right now: 2,695, Fragrantica in your language: Its gone by 3 hours.

It's not unpleasant, but it's hay. It didn't take me long to realize the resemblance to The Only One Intense.

Then, I went to the store specifically to smell the Intense version, and I was underwhelmed. Got the almond smell off too its beautiful, sexy and bold. Perfect Intense is really comforting and girly without being too chemically and artificial like the OG, at least on my skin. Get exclusive email-only offers and advance notice about sales & events.

Complementary to the bottle, the outer packaging is outfitted in luxe gold, black, and a burst of bright yellow for a timeless feel. Sometimes runts banana lollies. The sandalwood and almond notes really stand out to me. BASE NOTES: Sandalwood

It doesnt smell expensive or haute couture or complex in any way. Super delicious. OMG this is sooooo much better than the OG! This one strikes me as being fairly wearable in all-seasons, which is a quality I hold in high regard. The fixed monthly payment will be rounded to the next cent. This is a new fragrance.

One spray is more than enough. I think the bottle could be confusing to those who don't realize that there is another bottle very similar that's a different scent. I like this. Both "Perfects" are giving me a headache. There was nothing in my comment that merited deletion, nor did I vote on anything before smelling it.

I think I'm an almond hater and this has failed to convert me.

Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Espaol, Franais, etina, Italiano, , Polski, Portugus, , , Nederlands, Srpski, Romn, , , , . I can see a lot of people liking this though. It is a pleasant and very yummy scent, but I can't get over thinking I'd smell like pretty much straight creamy melon jolly rancher (if they had one).

Umema: The Perfume That'll Never Be Smelled, Carner Barcelona - the Summer Journey Collection, Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Pour Homme Le Parfum, Amber and Ambergris are Two Different Notes, Rice Perfumes That Stand Out From the Crowd, Should You Smell Someone Before Talking to Them? I still love it, obviously, but I do have to keep in mind that twelve hours from application, I'm going to need to scrub my arm pretty hard to keep from dealing with Oakmoss Funk. Tried on a tester. I could've sworn I could detect a hint of cardamom, which was not in there. MIDDLE NOTES: Roasted Almonds

I really enjoy this scent, its very unique in my opinion.

I didn't like it. For the record, this blends super well with Pure Poison, which gives it some depth that it lacks on the dry down. I guess it's OK but I was hoping for "special.". Beautiful, delicious, sweet, comforting. good for everyday, but I wouldnt spend money on it, normal perfect is my signature and favorite perfume so i had high expectations.

Slightly older smelling than the OG.

I'm not getting sandalwood at all. Message me :). Smelled in store, surprisingly nice for a Marc jacobs smell. But this is a light shampoo-y detergent type of scent and not a layered banana scent with depth or a good quality base.

A must try for lovers of gourmand and almond scents. Def smells like banana. I don't know what it is with Marc Jacobs fragrances but they all have the same DNA.

inside, the juice is presented in a soft champagne-colored hue, reminiscent of vintage perfumery. The bottle and package even has one on its details. What shines through is the buttered popcorn and sandalwood with a soft, powdery vibe.

Perfect smelled way too synthetic for my taste, I think the rhubarb - narcissus combo put me off and I wasn't a fan of the cashmeran base either. Smooth, gourmand and creamy. Just something to throw on before you leave the house. I saw someone say they get sesame from this and I totally agree. Sassy, but sweet. Also does not last long, about 2 hrs on me. I like the original perfect as well but I dont believe it would last extremely long. I love this because I love and own the OG. The cashmeran and sandalwood create a warm and cozy envelope around the sesame and almond, making it the perfect fall scent. What I do get upon opening is buttered popcorn and a too-intense blast of white florals (which I don't love). It is absolutely beautiful and perfect for fall. The Body Shop makes a nice banana shampoo & conditioner that basically does this. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. As of July 28, 2022, a variable 12.49%APR applies to non-promotional purchases, and a variable 20.49%APR applies to accounts subject to penalty APR. Wasn't expecting it but I love it! Golden roasted almonds blend with an abundance of sandalwood creating a warm cocooning finish. Initial spray I was surprised to get a strangely tropical scent, I was convinced coconut or Tiare flower was in here but nope!

Yum.

Personally, this scent isn't for me as I didn't enjoy the smell of almonds on my skin. If I smelled it on someone else I would think I'm smelling their body wash, and that they smell very nice, clean, and feminine. My little sample spray is surprisingly strong, I can't do more than 2 sprays or it'll give me a headache.

Personally I think this smells like Banana lol. Definitely more my vibe with the almond and sandalwood. I am an almond-fragrance aficionado; if you don't love almonds or almond milk, this perfume should be a pass. Cannot wait to wear this in fall.

Please allow additional delivery time for items shipped to APO/FPO addresses. for the life of me, I don't get any almonds in this, but that could just be me?? Ive never been a fan of anything theyve brought out but this one surprised me.

This is not a bad scent - but I expected something quite different from the notes. Not my thing. It smelled light but almost milky, and there was a distinct sticky rice note to it.

Crafted in collaboration with Marc Jacobs himself and featuring an elegant blend of unexpected elements, the weighted glass base is inspired by the femininity and grace of a classic parfum, with domed shoulders and a gilded collar. After testing this out for a few days I like this but dont love it. I can definitely see this fragrance hitting right for someone, but that person isn't me. I just love this type of scent, even if this is kind of basic.

Intensely floral, slightly almondy, and a beautiful sandalwood scent. The sesame and almond are immediately the dominant notes. At first, the green, almond and white florals are where it's at on me, then it sweetens out and mellows a bit into a sort of gentle cookies and milk vibe. I think it's way overpriced; I'm sure there are plenty of floral perfumes out there that smell similar.

I don't get an outstanding almond scent from this like I expected. See details and enter for your chance to win!

Now this was quite a surprise! This is a very nice warm sweet banana smell with some florale and amber/vanilla. Its a bust for me and my conclusion is its a unique scent from the designer world anyways, smelled great on paper but imo smells way better on paper than on skin, on skin it smells different and for me it didnt have any sillage and lasted but a few hours on skin digging my nose into it, before it was complete gone. Upon first spray I was a little hesitant due to the blast of florals and a slight "popcorn" element to the scent in the opening. So I sprayed it on my skin and it was way different!! Has a powdery dry down, good staying power and a fun bottle. Everyone expects a stronger version of Perfect. Was looking forward to trying this because of the jasmine/almond combo. It is a deeper and less sweet scent to me which makes it more sophisticated and womanly in my opinion but at least it lasts a lot longer than the original perfect perfumes does. It's nothing mind-blowing. Beautiful for fall! The dry down is beautiful however its hard to get past the nuttiness in the opening.

i get narcissus, I thought i could smell freesiabut that must be the effect of jasmine with narcissus. Like the original fragrance that launched globally in july 2020, perfect intense is inspired by marc jacobs personal mantra: I am perfect as I am, which is symbolized by a tattoo of the word perfect on his wrist. I'll even do yall one betteryou want extreme compliments?? Im glad I didnt buy it though and instead bought a carded sample from someone online because I sprayed basically the whole 2ml sample I had on me and my clothes and I could only smell it for 15 mins or less and I even then it wasnt very strong in that 15 mins either and smelled a lot different to my nose than it did on the strip.

Does anyone want to buy this one (for a lower price obiously) or swap it for the original one? I, Way better than the OG wich I didnt like. Started out as generic white floral but the almond quickly added in just the right something to make it special. the sweet soft almond essence is just perfect with the green nuances and a hint of hay and tobacco with an intense sweet jasmine-like fragrance and a subtle note of wood. It disappeared just after an hour though.to a skin-scent.

Much more gourmand and unique. I did a side by side comparison of both and they feel like two totally different scents; I like intense but I love the uplifting freshness and delicacy of the original more. Which is does. Perfect Marc Jacobs Intense is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. Its Narcissus!

Top notes are Narcissus and Night Blooming Jasmine; middle note is Almond; base note is Sandalwood.

I liked the floral opening, but after drydown I just smell the almond with a faint hint of sweetness. Could be tied w/ Dolce Lily for worst new release for 2022. Marc Jacobs is SO good at flankers that are similar but with a tiny change. It honestly reminds me of a certain shampoo or body wash I've had before (can't remember which one though).

Dominant note to my nose is definitely daffodil as I do get this intense "hay" accord upon spraying, but it dries down to a pretty almond scent. UNTIL (!)

My skin looooves darker, deeper, spicier scents, so I like to use those to give lighter scents some teeth. It's strong in this one. This is very soapy but not in a 'fresh' way, it has a lot of warmth to it that I can only assume is the almond. Honestly not even close to being long lasting or having any sort of projection at all. Become a member of this online perfume community and you will be able to add your own reviews. To me this smells very generic, like a shampoo. This kinda gets me in the throat. I love sesame oil, but not on my skin sadly, this is a hard pass for me! By choosing a Pay Your Way financing plan you are opting out of any promotional 0% finance offers your purchase may qualify to receive. I knew on first spray that it reminded me of something, but I wasn't sure what. The problem is its name. So Im not sure if when I wear it the banana note will be present. I'm hoping for a shower gel or body lotion/cream because sometimes those forms of a fragrance turn out much better smelling on my skin than the actual perfume--I find that true for the OG Perfect. When I finally got it and sprayed it on myself I just was not a fan at all.

It feels like Perfects older, more sensible but quiet sister.

Just picked this one up, smelled it at the shop and couldn't stay away from it! The fragrance finishes with a soft dry down of cedarwood and cashmeran. This is just a little too sharp for my nose and I think there are better versions of this smell. Beautiful, smooth and creamy almond scent. This smells very much like the originala pleasingly cool and creamy banana dessert scent that is not overly sweet, accent on the creaminess.

At the top, the crystal-cut cap is crowned with an extravagant assortment of mis-matched charms redesigned in shades of gold, silver, black, white, yellow, and a dash of cherry red a nod to the intensified new fragrance offering.

There's just some kind of alchemy that happens with my skin. The almond stays throughout the whole day, which I love with the sandalwood. Its nothing like the original Perfect, no sweetness, nothing pretty.. just very strong and kind of bitter and there's a fishy cold metallic note like in J'adore that I hate and have noticed in quite a lot of perfumes, maybe it is the combination of amber with florals? Lasts 2-4 hours and sits close to the skin. Perfect Intense is like Perfect, just stripped of the fruity florals, which means I'm not that interested in it. Epicene Gamma IFF: The Common Part of Spicy Men's Colognes of the 1980s. When I first smelled this at Macys in the mall I fell in love. Overall this is mostly milky, roasted almonds, with sesame oil, and some yellow and white flowers, that's it.

On me, this thing is an absolute beast -- I can smell it at arm's length even twelve hours on -- but that last hour-ish is tainted with oakmoss that makes it hard to enjoy. i dont hate it but.. eehhhh noooo. Appallingly enough, I might want to get a bottle of eachand I rarely like any MJ scents. A pastry-like scent which nonetheless does not have that nauseating "sugar" overload that causes me headache, nor the fruitiness that permeates so many gourmand.
