I was told that Secrets Playa Mujeres, is next to the best , and they have some rooms Available , but for 7 nights for I still cant use 7 free nights and need to purchase rooms . However, further research into RCI revealed some massive red flags. You can bet Ill be spending my lost vacation hours making sure everyone knows that Unlimited Vacation Club and Secrets is a total scam. The amount was only to be ****** USD and the billing was for ******. It would be much more fair if the payments are divided out over 30 years. UVC robbed my husband and I two days of our vacation due to me being exposed to the COVID virus as I am an educator. Which I have booked at least 8 rooms within a year and I dont get any rewards. We recently vacationed at Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica. I blame UVC 100% and would take them to court if it were possible. Depending on which tier you buy, you essentially get a certain number of weeks at their resorts. Tell them to take a walk if you dont want to hear it and go back and enjoy your membership. We just called to find out how to use our vacation and where we could go.
I told this supposedly supervisor that appears to have no authority that this doesnt seem very fair or customer service when everytime I call I am getting more and more upset. If you look up UVC profile on Better Business Bureau there is a statement Complaints on file with BBB allege that consumers were pressured into signing contracts for Vacation Club Memberships for thousands of dollars and consumers found after purchasing packages that they did not realize the savings indicated in the sales presentations. We ended up with them pitching us to prepay for a future week of vacation worth $5,000.
ps I love Secrets Maroma and various Zoetry properties. (They starred of offing us a $180,000 package!). Even a single week at one of their resorts would cost around that for two people. This seems to be the crux of getting your refund. The Reps are not rude but the service they offer are limited in what you need and if they find a way to accommodate you there are always fees. Fraud from start to finish. We believe their most popular membership level is the Gold Tier so we will focus our review on that level. It was represented as a fee being 49 USD to 69 USD per person, per night.
None of which are true or available. No value ! Its just not worth it for me. Also, through RCI, any RCI resort for 499 USD per week. Their English is so bad that the first person pitched me $15k for my one week package. The following evening, my wife had expressed some concerns that we had made such a large purchase without more research and, to put her mind at ease, I Googled Unlimited Vacation Club reviews. This is only propaganda and big scam from **************** Do not buy a mebership ever fron this company (or Hyatt, the new associate} if you are planning some family vacations, go somewhere else.!!). Today we tried all day to book the Dreams in Cozumel (an AMR resort) for 25% offered by another agency (one of their acceptable sites). Maybe it helps that I am six foot 7 inches.! I can literally spend that same amount of time instead of arguing with them about all the additional fees, I could have searched through google, put together my own trip and decent deals and prices and been done. Our friends at Unlimited Vacation Club wanted us to either pay $70,000 all at once, or put 20% down and pay for the rest over 48 months. We were offered a Double Stay Getaway which promised a free day on a future stay. I tell Sandy I wan to speak with Ivan, since he is the one who showed me the rate, but of course Ivan is on vacation. My only saving grace is Im a very good negotiator so I didnt give them an insane amount of money, but enough! The gist of the email was that I expected a full refund minus the $400 we had received and used as luxury dollars. The list we were given for the Gold Tier included: With the RCI offer, we were told that we can stay at any of their locations for $499 a week. Any American citizen should have the right to get their money back from wrongful sellers who lie to make a profit.. Our unsecured line of credit from the bank has a much lower interest rate than 9%. Very Happy with what we get for the price. When making the initial reservation the contract/confirmation clearly stated that any changes/cancelations made prior to 30 days before arrival would receive a full refund. It was significantly cheaper than what we expected, so there you go. Dreams hotels or UVC is a scam, in particular the ************ in ****************** (**********). I said I was promise by the first rep, we continued back and forth and got no where. We found that a large number of unhappy customers have been posting online about their difficulties with cancelling the membership. We were never told that it had an annual fee of 399 and we were being signed up for five years. The whole saga follows, but the short version is, if youre reading this within a few days after signing up, send a cancellation email NOW! until they remove this hotel from expedia.or stop scam pp .they will scam take your and sell your information. However, now we very much regret our purchase. If you are intelligent enough to search google, know your office points, know your flight sites and deals, know your hotel sites and deals, know how to bargain shop for your own activities and excursion deals, You are better off Spending that extra hour doing your own researching than to join the UVC membership and get burned financially and emotionally. We understand they need cash flow to build new resorts, but they should go get that from a bank rather than squeezing it out of their members. It only has the credits but I wanted to apply the cash. If you were pressured into signing a contract, and are within a five (5) day window then you can likely get it cancelled. AMResorts owns some of the best all-inclusive properties in tropical destinations. I called about a late fee. 5)if Am resorts an uvc split you will not have access anymore to Am resorts These companies work very hard to leverage the laws of other countries to make it difficult to get your money back. I will be following up with a demand letter and grievance placed with the Attorney General for fraudulent misrepresentation. 2 weeks before my trip the airline changed my flight which messed up my plans and there were no other flights available.

The threat of taking the conflict to an American court and causing problems with the credit card company seems to be the way to get them to honor their refund terms. The wife had a vacation booked with her sisters at Secrets Maroma in 2020 in which she completely paid for using UVC. Im posting this to hopefully help someone else who ends up in the same situation with UVC that my wife and I did. My wife works in finance and Im an investment advisor with an MBA in Finance (which they did not know), so we felt very comfortable following the numbers. The whole situation is embarrassing because we were foolish to sign a contract we hadnt read, but Im sharing all this in the hope that is helps someone else. The parent company is Apple Leisure Group out of Newton PA, USA. JUST SAY NO WHEN THEY OFFER FREE S*** I AM CONSIDERING MY 4K TO BE GONE. I have had success with the AM resorts side of UVC, but now I am scared to give them any money at all even though Im in the club. She gets me a supposedly supervisor whom repeats what she said to me that to be current I needed to pay. It didnt take long to see that feedback on UVC was almost universally negative. GK. Youre signing a binding contract, and there can be repercussions if you break that contract even if its in another country. We are truly sick over this and cannot sleep at night!!! I was okay, this works. Only then I also discovered that my package is just a basic and cheapest package . people. Numerous time I asked not to bother me , because I am very busy ; I said that I will call when I need services. While the site is specifically geared towards Mexican law, the information I found there helped steer me in the right direction. !Had the same issue at *************. I was told Id have until January 30th to cancel. You can't book anything. No BadStories! The trinkets they offer are not worth you time or the harassment they put you through. Of course, three days later, Id heard absolutely nothing. Ivan Tirado, the person we met with, then showed me rates I would receive for the same week at the same resort next year. They have yearly fees for you to continue their service which is trash. All the vacation club in Mxico a set up this way ! First, they have a 1/5 rating on consumer affairs. I have called and asked if they can at least give me one day for free, they declined. Also, when i asked to speak to someone in a higher position, she told me there is no one else. I do not want to explain myself multiple more time and keep getting passed around its already been an hour. I will also say that people are more likely to comment when they are upset this is a pretty big company I would hope others who have a good experience will weigh in as well. So the two free weeks is actually just one. We missed a lot they do expire. In the meantime, I contacted a lawyer back in the States and continued to research how to bring the nightmare to an end. We specifically stated we wanted to go to ****** so they gave us something to use for that and now I am trying to schedule and ****** is not an option for those specific weeks. We joined UVC in 2018, finally caving in on the pressure cooker sales job. The money is not even use to build new resorts but just to make money ! If the refund had not been received within the 15 days specified in the contract, I would contest the charge with my credit card company as fraudulent. Seems like it makes more sense to cut my losses, lick my wounds, and just book through Apple or someone reputable.
We purchased the pearl level a few weeks ago and reading everying, I was getting really nervous! I may have responded to David and meant Tracey! Only thing I cant remember is if I have them my SSN or not, . We hang up and him just apologizing and nothing else. Only deeded timeshare the others timeshare dont exit anymore or changes their names ! I did not used any of my free nights or services and have no plan to travel in near or far future to the Country where there is so much injustice, food poison ( I had each time I was there) and risk of Zika virus which possess risk for the males and females trying to conceive babies.
