The chemical smell is SO strong, it's unusable!! We've used this for about a week, but so far, it seems to be just what we needed. I have contacted the manufacturer since I am sick and tired of rotating it and waking up in a dent at night. Comes very compressed and smells. So far so good!! Not happy.
Yea I don't know what everyone else is used to sleeping on, but this is definitely not comfortable. I got the 4" but probably could have went with the 2". This topper is for a hide a bed and the 2" thickness seems right, a thicker one may not allow to fold up. I was impressed considering the low price I didn't think it was gonna be all that much help on my bed. That being said if you wanted a firmer topper this is not the one for you. The quality of this foam mattress topper is excellent. I purchased the queen but it's not a queen and doesn't cover the mattress which causes it to constantly slide. Right away I sank into it, but to my dismay it did not relieve the pressure points, but actually increased pressure.
