Edinburgh is a beautiful city, but the trip to the Highlands was definitely - and unexpectedly - the highpoint for me. Cardiff Castle being about 15 minutes walk from our hotel, was an opportunity to walk around a bit and see Edinburgh. I am already thinking of going back to do more exploring.
